• On successful completion of first page, you will receive an email containing your Application ID and Password. Please preserve your Application ID and Password carefully for future print/view/modification of application.
• To submit your application, click “submit” button. You are not allowed to modify anything after you click “submit”. You will also receive an “Online Application Form” in pdf format. You have to report to the Passport Office for providing biometric data along with a printed version of the Online Application form.
• After submission, the system will assign you to your authorised Regional Passport Office. Your application shall remain valid for 15 days from the date of submission. Your record will be removed automatically by the system after 15 days.

35th BCS circular

Bangladesh Public Service Commission has issued a circular for the 35th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination for 1803 vacant posts.

Registration for the exam, which would be held under the new rule, will begin on September 30 and continue till October 30, according to the circular issued today.

Job aspirants aged between 21 and 30 on September 1, 2014 will be eligible for the registration.

Earlier on Sunday, the public administration ministry issued a gazette notification to this end following amendment to the Bangladesh Civil Service (Age, Qualification and Examination for Direct Recruitment) Rules, 1982.

According to the new rule, the preliminary examination will be of 200 marks while the duration will be two hours instead of the hour-long 100-mark test.

A candidate with less than 30 percent marks in the written examination will be considered to have got no number against the existing rule of 25 percent.

The pass mark under the new system would be 50 percent of the 200-mark viva voce. It was 40 percent earlier.

The examination fee has also been increased to Tk 700 from Tk 500.

Voter List Updatating News New Voter Registration: Voter list updating is running.  If you are a Bangladeshi citizen, frequently lived in a area and before 1st january 2013 you are 18 or above but not register as a voter yet, you may register as a voter as per your local schedule time. At the time of enrollment you may need some papers for form-2 fill up like, S.S.C. or equivalent certificate, birth certificate, passport, driving licence, TIN certificate, utility bill copy/house rent receipt/holding tax receipt, citizenship certificate and father-mother-husband/wife's ID card photocopy. Some case they may need to fillup a special form for declared special areas. Migration Of Voter Area: Those who already registered as a voter but need to migrate their voter area they may fill up Form-13 or Form-14 and have to send their concern supazila/thana election office. Dhaka College

Dhaka College, located in Dhaka, is one of Bangladesh's most important and earliest higher educational institutions. It offers H.S.C., four years honours and one year masters course in various majors. The college is affiliated with the National University. Several thousand students study here, it has a number of student halls and many students participate in politics. Dhaka College was established by Dr. James Taylor (Civil Surgeon at Dhaka) in 1835 as an English School (at present Dhaka Collegiate School). Dr. James organized a local Committee of Public Instruction with the help of district magistrate Mr. Grant. The school building was built partly out of public donations on the grounds of an English factory. The school rose to college status in 1841 and buildings were completed in 1946, with the aid of the Bishop of Calcutta. In the first graduating class there were both Muslim and Hindu students, as well as a number of foreign students, mainly from Armenia and Portugal. The college was relocated in 1873 to a large building to the east of Victoria Park in order to accommodate the physics and chemistry laboratories. Later it shifted in 1908 to Curzon Hall while the science departments were housed in the present chemistry building of the University of Dhaka. In 1921 the college shifted again to the present High Court Building. During the Second World War it moved to Siddique Bazar. At present, it has its own campus near Dhaka New Market.
